Heritage Students Participate in Estuary Stewardship Through Education Program at Plum Point
Team 6C students at Heritage Middle School participated in an Estuary Stewardship Through Education Program. Sixth graders had a unique opportunity for in-depth hands-on learning at the beautiful Riverfront Park at Plum Point. The students participated with experts to understand the history, importance, and current challenges that the Estuary faces. The students took part in different activities learning about the natural resources, critical species and habitats, ongoing pollution issues, and climate change impacts. The students also cleaned up the riverbank of debris. A special thank you to Ms. Lisa Sacks Holl for organizing this field trip so the students could have this incredible opportunity.
