The 2022 Summer LEGO Academy is Back for the Summer!

The 2022 Summer LEGO Academy will be held at Meadow Hill and available to 60 students (entering 1st graders - entering 5th graders from GAMS, HOH,  Balmville, and Vails Gate). The program will run Monday - Thursday, from July 11, 2022 - July 21, 2022, and Monday - Wednesday from July 25, 2022 - July 27, 2022 for four hours each day (8:15 am - 12:15 pm).  Children will work with LEGO Education’s WeDo 2.0 Curriculum to build robots, learn to code them, and explore ways to solve real life problems using their creations. Children will also have the opportunity to create different designs online and bring them to life with giant sized LEGOS. These STEM-based projects are embedded with English, language arts and math  exercises aligned to the science and technology state learning standards.

La Academia LEGO de verano de 2022 se llevará a cabo en la escuela Meadow Hill y estará disponible para 60 estudiantes (Ingresando a 1.er grado - Ingresando a 5.° grado de GAMS, HOH, Balmville y Vails Gate). El programa se llevará a cabo de lunes a jueves, del 11 de julio de 2022 al 21 de julio de 2022, y de lunes a miércoles del 25 de julio de 2022 al 27 de julio de 2022 durante cuatro horas cada día (8:15 am - 12:15 pm). Los niños trabajarán con el plan de estudios WeDo 2.0 de LEGO Education para construir robots, aprender a codificarlos y explorar formas de resolver problemas de la vida real usando sus creaciones. Los niños también tendrán la oportunidad de crear diferentes diseños en línea y darles vida con LEGOS de tamaño gigante. Estos proyectos basados en STEM están integrados con ejercicios de inglés, artes del lenguaje y matemáticas alineados con los estándares estatales de aprendizaje de ciencia y tecnología.
