New Windsor School Drama Club Presents a Hawaiian Beach Party
On Thursday, April 7th, the talented students of the New Windsor School Drama Club presented the musical “Hawaiian Beach Party” for friends, families, teachers and students. This was the very first live show in over two years (due to the Pandemic). The show was fantastic and featured 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students playing ukuleles, singing, and dancing with a sprinkle of comedy throughout. Brooke Rademacher and Enjoli Matta were the lead performers and were outstanding in their roles as Miss Leilani and Ukulele Sue.
New Windsor's team of artistic scholars designed, created and staged the perfect beach themed backdrop for the show. The dedicated Club members met for hours BEFORE the school day and also worked at home to be the best they could be. Musical direction was provided by Mary Petruncola and Karen Sheehy. Art direction was provided by Jaime DeForest.
A special thank you to amazing administrators: Mr. Camt and Mr. Lee
for their support of this performance, our students, and the arts in education.
