Meadow Hill Students Compete in Math Facts - March Madness Style!
With NCAA basketball brackets happening now we decided to bring March Madness into our 4th grade math classrooms! As a hook to get our kids excited, we divided all our 4th graders into brackets, similar to the NCAA tournament brackets. Fun! They all had the opportunity to compete and have been working all year on memorizing and getting faster at their facts.
With local businesses such as: Dairy Queen, Hudson Valley Renegades, McDonalds, Leo's Pizza, Joe's Pizza, Frank's Pizza , Showtime Cinema, Stop N Shop, and Target we were able to have prizes for all the winners of the brackets.
We would like to acknowledge the winner Lilly Derham and the runner up Caydence Caltagirone who were able to complete 100 facts in less than two minutes.
