NFA Students Learn about and Tour Historic Newburgh
Mrs. Ginny McCurdy and Mrs. Jennine Sileno brought their classes on their annual field trip to discover historical sites in the City of Newburgh. Typically taken in the fall, but rescheduled due to COVID-19, the students read articles by City of Newburgh historian, Mrs. Mary McTamaney in the fall and were able to make modified visits this week.
Students took a tour of Washington Headquarters, complete with the Victory Tower and ate our lunch in the Green Room of Safe Harbors. While on the tour, students were able to view the new Junior Curator Project that NFA freshmen worked on in spring of 2020 that are now being exhibited in the museum. The ribbon cutting to the new Junior Curator Project exhibit will be April 20th.
