Pep Rally Held at Vails Gate STEAM Academy Prior to New York State Exams

Vails Gate STEAM Academy held a pep rally this morning (Friday, March 25th, 2022) for their third, fourth and fifth grade scholars preparing for the upcoming New York State Exams.  School Principal, Mrs. Ciria Briscoe-Perez, was the MC for the morning. Along with her teachers, Mrs. Briscoe-Perez made sure her students were energetic and engaged. Music blared as the scholars entered the gymnasium holding pom-poms and signs with words of encouragement for the future exam takers.  The younger scholars from kindergarten, first, and second grade showered their "Gator Buddies" with words of affirmation.  The room was filled with smiles as the students and teachers danced to the music. The volume was lowered briefly to allow Mrs. Allison Roberts (Instructional Coach) to share with scholars ways to be prepared on exam day, beginning with a good night's sleep the night before and a healthy breakfast the morning of. Scholars were provided this information in a kit as they exited the gym. The energy in the building was "all the way up!" and Vails Gate scholars were given a well-deserved jolt of confidence as they prepare for the New York State exams.
