New Windsor School Clintonian Members Participate in Valentine’s Day Projects
Recently two local politicians asked students in our district to get involved in special Valentine’s Day projects.
State Senator James Skoufis initiated “Project Valentine.” The goal was for students to create Valentine’s Day cards filled with messages of hope and happiness for people living in long-term care facilities.
Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney initiated “Valentines for Vets.” The goal was for students to create Valentine’s Day cards filled with messages of appreciation to our veterans for their service as well as to wish them a great day.
The members of the Clintonian Honor Society at New Windsor School took this as an opportunity to complete an independent community service project. They used their time and creativity to design and decorate several cards for each meaningful cause. They learned even a small act of kindness can go a long way to help others.
