NFA Black History Club Donates More Than 50 Toys
Prior to winter recess, the scholars of the NFA Black History Club, donated over 50 toys and games to the children on the Pediatric ward of Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital. This effort of community stewardship is part of the traditional legacy the NFA Black History Club has of supporting and celebrating their community.
These efforts were made possible with the assistance of Ms. Kate Dabroski, Vice President of Public and Community Relations and the staff at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital along with the support of Mr. Edgar Glascott and Mr. Matteo Doddo, Co-Principals at NFA Main Campus and area community and school partners.
The NFA Black History Club would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Sinnot's classes, The NFA School Counseling department, Girl Scout Troop 13 and the Grant and Worrell families for their generous support of this very worthwhile endeavor as they continue to encourage academic achievement, cultural awareness, personal growth for the betterment of their school, community and themselves.
The NFA Black History Club is led by Ms. Tara Jones.
