NFA West students tour Duchess Community College
Students at NFA West went on a trip to Dutchess Community College as apart of the W.E.S.T University Program which exposes students college and career options. 9th-12th grade students had an opportunity to meet with an admissions representative and tour the campus. Students also had an opportunity to participate in a reflection activity at the end of the event that allowed for them to ask questions and make connections between the college admissions process and their academic portfolio in high school.
Students also received admissions and college information and learned about the campus from two undergraduate students who conducted the tour.
Student feedback included:
“ I really like the programs and opportunities that the college has to offer. I learned a lot of great information today!” -Angela Herrera, 9th grade student
“The dorms are really and nice. I can see myself living there! The nursing lab looks like a hospital and I like the facilities." - Jazzlyn Pidgeon, 9th grade student
