NFA Senior Cosmetology Students Host Clinic Every Friday
Scholars in the NFA Cosmetology program host a clinic every Friday to earn certification hours. The clinic launched in December with a line of students out the door.
Cosmetology is one of 21 Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, formerly known as vocational programs offered to high school students right at Newburgh Free Academy. This pathway includes a three year sequence that includes Introduction to Cosmetology, Cosmetology I (and lab), and Cosmetology II (and lab). Students who complete the required coursework and certification hours and pass the NYS certification exams can receive a license upon high school graduation and turning 18 years old.
A list of services can be found here. Appointments and tips are appreciated. Walk-ins are welcome. The clinic is open from 7:30am - 10:30 (periods 1-4). Call 845-563-5557 extension 32120 to make an appointment.
