NFA North honors Veterans with ceremony
NFA North held a short ceremony to honor veterans and their loved ones, held during morning announcements on, Thursday, November 10th at 7:10am.
Veterans Day is on November 11th and we give thanks, honor and tribute to all veterans who have served in the Armed Forces.
ROTC Color Guard presented the colors in the main lobby and the national anthem was played over the PA system. The ceremony was broadcast on GBTV, so all members of the NFA North community could participate. A special announcement was read after the playing of the national anthem: “Veteran’s Day marks the date to remember all the brave hearts who fought for us, who made us feel secured and made the country proud. A salute to them from the heart.”
The Social Studies department organized a Veterans Day Hallway Project displayed in NFA North. The project consists of the Hallway Hall of Fame, located in the main lobby, where many veterans are recognized for their commitment and sacrifice to our country.
A special thank you to Ms. McKay, Mr. Kaiser and students who organized the Veterans Day Project.
The Hallway Hall of Fame will remain in the main lobby for the entire month of November.
