Friends of the Newburgh Free Library to Host Two Holiday Pop Up Book Fairs
Just in time for the quickly approaching gift-giving season, the Friends of the Newburgh Free Library will host two Holiday Pop Up Book Fairs. The first at the Main Library at 124 Grand Street on Sat., Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Back Door Books, their new space in the Newburgh Free Library. The entrance for Back Door Books is on Montgomery Street behind the library, limited parking is available on Montgomery Street. The second Holiday Pop Up Book Fair will be at the Newburgh Mall Town Branch on Sat., Dec 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. At both Holiday Book Sales the friends will be offering a special holiday selection of coffee table-type books and special interest books in addition to their regular selection of great books at great prices for every age and reading level.
Also on Sat., Nov. 20 the Newburgh Free Library will be hosting “A Warm Welcome to the Library” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Working in partnership with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 311, this program will make available over 190 new winter coats supplied through Operation Warm to children aged 5 and 6 years old in the Newburgh community. Those interested must pre-register for a timeslot through the library website newburghlibrary.org or by calling 845-563-3625.
