Two NFA West students recognized for leadership in our community
At Friday’s football game, two scholars were recognized for the leadership roles they hold within our community. Ramine Beckford, 10th grader at NFA West and Darius Womack, a senior at NFA West have been working with the 100 Men for Newburgh organization, an anti-violence organization that supports the Newburgh community through mentorship and leadership to youth in the community.
“This organization has been a great resource and support system for students, particularly males, in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. These students have participated in 100 Men sponsored events and have demonstrated leadership and principles of manhood in their schools as well as their communities through academics and internships. These two students, and many other male scholars, continue to participate in many mentoring activities at West with the 100 Men for Newburgh organization.” Ms. Ebony Clark, Principal at NFA West
Students were joined by their families, leaders within the 100 Men for Newburgh organization, their Principal, and their School Counselor, Ms. Lakeya Stukes, Mr. Doddo, Principal of NFA North, and Dr. Roberto Padilla, Superintendent of Newburgh Schools.
