NFA West students participate in a Community Cleanup
Students from NFA West participated in a Community Cleanup last week. This is the second year that students from NFA West have ventured into the community that immediately surrounds their school to enhance their neighborhood.
Ms. Siegel organized the event, noting the lasting impact the cleanup has had. Last year, the students picked up about 15 bags of trash. This year, there was only enough trash to fill 5 bags. “Our goal is to connect with the community. We’re part of them and they’re a part of us. I think we have a responsibility to look out for a connect with our neighbors.”
"We are part of the community and when the community is messy, it's very unappealing and nobody wants to be around that. We want to live and learn in a place that looks nice to be." Chelsea, 9th grade
