Meadow Hill is Getting Smart by Using Safety from the Start!
Meadow Hill GEMS K-2 students welcomed the Winona Lake Engine Company to culminate their week of learning experiences centered on fire prevention and safety. A fire drill initiated the event. Students watched in eager anticipation as the fire trucks circled the school, sirens blazing and lights flashing. Students then had the opportunity to explore the fire trucks and equipment and engage in up close learning experiences with various members of the fire department. Meadow Hill was also proud to welcome back two Meadow Hill alumni, Ke’shaun and Eric. These former GEM’s were two of the firefighters that helped educate students on fire safety procedures.
