Gardnertown Pre-K Scholars Celebrate Artist Alma Woodsey Thomas for Black History Month
Scholars in Ms. Clare Lawler's Pre-K class took the time to learn about the Artist, Alma Woodsey Thomas as part of Black History Month. A presentation of the Artist was given by the Pre-K scholar, Hendrix Kulisek. Scholars then created artwork using the techniques they learned about Ms. Alma Thomas.
"The use of color in my paintings is of paramount importance to me. Through color, I have sought to concentrate on beauty and happiness rather than on man's inhumanity to man." - Alma Thomas
