NFA North Cultural Roundtable Discussions
In celebration of Black History Month, please join us in the first of many NFA North Cultural Roundtable Discussions on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 12:30PM - 1:30PM via Google Meet Link.
Black History Month is a time of reflection, rejoicing, celebrating, encouraging and acknowledging the contributions and achievements of the black diaspora. The discussion will be moderated by Ms. Julie Felton and Mr. Torrance Harvey.
The following are the topics of discussion:
-
Who/what from history has inspired you to sit in this chair as an educator and/or scholar today?
-
What is race? What is racism?
-
How do you see a post civil rights era in America? Does race matter to you? Why? Why Not?
-
What is your view on race relations in America? How does your viewpoint relate to the diversity in our school community?
Looking forward to seeing you!
