NECSD Food Backpack Program Now Available Weekly
The office of the McKinney-Vento Liaison for the NECSD is pleased to announce that the weekend Food Backpack Program is back up and running! Volunteers contributed their time to help serve 300 students in the district experiencing food insecurity. Distribution will be held each Friday when school is in session at Sacred Heart Gym on Ann Street in Newburgh between 3pm - 6pm. The next distribution date will be held on Friday 2/26/2021.

The Newburgh Enlarged City School District participates in the Weekend Backpack Program to offer a supply of nutritious meals and snacks for children over the weekend, free of charge. If you are struggling to meet your family’s food needs and would benefit from receiving additional food. Please contact your child's school for enrollment in the program. Due to COVID-19 Distribution has temporarily been moved to a central location.
The program will take place through the end of the 2020-2021 School Year.
