Strategic Planning Team's Kick-Off Meeting
Recently, the NECSD Strategic Planning Team had their kick off meeting and came together to discuss this school year’s focus. The Strategic Planning Team is composed of teachers, staff, parents, scholars, administrators, Board of Education members, and community members who contribute greatly to the planning process designed to shape the teaching and learning of the Newburgh Enlarged City School District through the year 2020. From food service workers through building principals, and district administrators everyone’s opinion and input is brought to the table and valued. Deputy Superintendent, Ed Forgit explained to the group that they are, “one team with equal voice in the conversation.” The Strategic Pillars of focus for this school year are: Pillar 1 – District wide systems, Pillar 4 – Family and Community Engagement, and Pillar 5 – Supportive Learning Environment.
