A Message from the Superintendent - Inclement Weather
I will be making a decision on school closing for tomorrow at a later time, please check back for updates.
In the meantime, I wanted to let you know we are monitoring the weather forecast and it currently looks like we could be in for a good amount of snow. If a snow day is called for tomorrow, there will be NO remote instruction, all schools and district offices will be closed. I want to make sure the first snow day of the year is still as exciting in today's environment as it always has been for years. For some of our youngest scholars this is their first snow day ever! A snow day is an exciting day and will hopefully bring some normalcy back into 2020. Read a book, go sledding, and just enjoy the day.
In addition, we still have hundreds of employees in our school buildings every day even though we are currently in a 100% remote learning phase. The safety of these employees is incredibly important to me. Please stay safe tomorrow everyone.
ATTENTION: Are your scholars or colleagues doing something great? Please contact the district Communications Team at communications@necsd.net. We’d love to visit your class or event and/or post your pictures and recap to highlight the amazing accomplishments throughout our district!
