Chromebook Distribution - Thursday, October 8, 2020
The next distribution of Chromebooks and/or WiFi Hotspots for those who still need a device and are in grades K -12 will be on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 4-7pm at Armory Center, located at 321 S. William St, Newburgh, NY 12550.
This distribution is for:
- any scholar in grades K through 12 who has not already received a device, but may need one
- anyone who is still in need of a WiFi Hotspot, we will be distributing 1 hotspot per household
- and any student in grades K thru 12 in need of Chromebook repair
If you have a device that is not working, please bring your device and charger for a technician to help solve the issue.
If a parent or guardian is not available to pick up the device, someone can come on their behalf. Anyone picking up a device must bring a photo ID, along with the ID# for the scholar. If you do not have the ID#, you must provide the name, grade level, and school.
Face coverings that cover your nose and mouth are required when on school grounds. Please also be aware of NYS social distancing requirements and be sure to stay at least 6 feet away from other families when arriving and leaving.
Pre-K Goldie-backs - If you were not able to pick up a Chromebook at the distribution today, please visit the school your scholar attends between 8:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday to pick up your device. Scholars who are registered at a community based Pre-K provider should pick up a device at GAMS during those hours. Scholars who are scheduled for in-person learning with a Blue or Gold will receive their device when they are in school. If you have questions after you have picked up your device, please visit the page for the Technology Department on our district website for helpful tutorial videos and contact information the team members assigned to your scholar's building.

La próxima distribución de Chromebooks y / o puntos de acceso WiFi para aquellos que necesitan un dispositivo y están en los grados K- 12 será el jueves 8 de octubre de 4:00 pm a 7:00 pm en Armory Center, ubicado en 321 S William St, Newburgh, NY 12550.
Esta distribución es para:
- cualquier estudiante en los grados K al 12 que aún no haya recibido un dispositivo, pero puede que lo necesite.
- cualquier familia que actualmente tenga un punto de acceso WiFi, deberá devolver ese dispositivo y elegir un nuevo punto de acceso si aún lo necesita.
- cualquier persona que todavía necesite un punto de acceso WiFi, distribuiremos 1 punto de acceso por hogar
- Y cualquier estudiante en los grados K al 12 que necesite una reparación de Chromebook.
Si tiene un dispositivo que no funciona, traiga su dispositivo y cargador para que un técnico lo ayude a resolver el problema.
Si un padre o tutor no está disponible para recoger el dispositivo, alguien puede venir en su nombre. Cualquiera que recoja un dispositivo debe traer una identificación con foto, junto con el número de identificación del estudiante. Si no tiene el número de identificación, debe proporcionar el nombre, el nivel de grado y la escuela.
Se requiere cubrirse la cara que cubra la nariz y la boca cuando se encuentre en la escuela. También tenga en cuenta los requisitos de distanciamiento social del Estado de Nueva York y asegúrese de permanecer al menos a 6 pies de distancia de otras familias al llegar y al salir.
Pre-K Goldie-backs: si no pudo recoger un Chromebook en la distribución hoy, visite la escuela a la que asiste su estudiante entre las 8:30 am y las 3:00 pm, de lunes a viernes para recoger su dispositivo.
