Fostertown Families: Drive Thru Material Pickup
Dear Parents / Guardians;
Hello, and welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year. Whether your child was with us last year, you have a new kindergarten aged child, or you’re just new to Fostertown, you know or will know that our Fostertown family is a community.
My name is Jason Michalek, and I am the school counselor for Fostertown School, as well as for New Windsor School. This means that there will be days that I am here in the building and days that I am at my third home across town. Regardless of where I’m hanging my hat on any day, I’m an email / phone call away. As of now, I can be reached by phone at my Fostertown Office at 845-568-6444, or by email at jmichalek@necsd.net. If you call and it goes to voicemail and you need it to be heard soon, it’s best to follow up by email.
Please know that we have scheduled a materials distribution event over the week of September 14-18. The schedule is attached. On Thursday and Friday, we will be distributing leftover student materials from LAST School year gathered from student desks. If you attended one of our drive by events in June and collected your child’s things, you should not come for this. This is only for students who have personal materials that were not picked up in June. Any materials that are not picked up or called for will be donated.
Please note that these distribution days will be in the front bus loop of the building, with two stations set up; one closer to the entrance side and one closer to the exit side. You will not need to, nor should you, exit your vehicle. We will be practicing all CDC Protocols, with masks and other precautions. We ask that you wear a mask when arriving at the school, even though you are not exiting your car.
