Navigating the Family Guidebook to Reopening Schools
The Newburgh Enlarged City School District submitted a plan for review by New York State on Friday, July 31, 2020, as required. Our plans will remain the same following Governor Cuomo’s announcement on August 7, 2020.
You can view the NECSD Family Guide to Reopening Schools by visiting our website or clicking on the link below. We know this is a long document. In the upcoming weeks, we will highlight several areas, so you can better understand the expectations of your scholar as we approach the start of the 2020-2021 school year.
If you would like to learn about a specific topic in the document, please utilize the Table of Contents that can be found on page 2. When viewing from a computer or a Chromebook, you can search the document for keywords by selecting Ctrl F or command F on a Mac. Once you've pressed those keys, type in a keyword that you're interested in learning about (Transportation, food/meals, attendance, mask, hybrid, etc.) and scroll through the document using the arrows in that search feature. Every time that word is mentioned will appear highlighted, so you can easily scroll through and read the text around that word.
You can learn more about our Reopen plan and how we arrived at these plans by visiting our web page dedicated to this topic: NewburghSchools.org/reopen
ATTENTION: Are your scholars or colleagues doing something great? Please contact the district Communications Team at communications@necsd.net. We’d love to visit your class or event and/or post your pictures and recap to highlight the amazing accomplishments throughout our district!
