Newburgh Scholars Develop Google Map Walking Tours of Newburgh
Mrs. Ginny McCurdy's and Mrs. Jennine Sileno's classes developed Google Map walking tours of Newburgh! After their annual unit of local history, our juniors did a walking tour of Newburgh where they crossed the Hudson on the ferry and then walked to places that were highlighted in the some of the articles they had read by local historian, Mary McTamaney. Their culminating activity was to design their own Google Map Walking Tours of Newburgh highlighting some of the best aspects of their hometown. Mrs. Jennine Sileno and Mrs.Ginny McCurdy selected a variety of tours for newcomers, day visitors, and long time Newburghers to explore and enjoy.
Those interested in viewing the walking tours can scan the QR code with their phone for the map. The scan should work in the photo app on your phone. Click this link to find the codes: Google Map Walking Tours of Newburgh
