Newburgh Armory Scholars in Scrubs Thank NFA CNA Graduates!
Young scholars who participate in the Newburgh Armory Unity Center's Scholars in Scrubs program wanted to thank the NFA scholars who have helped them on Saturday mornings. Scholars in the NFA North Campus Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program volunteer every Saturday morning to help their younger peers learn about general health and the healthcare field.
The NAUC's Scholars in Scrubs program and the NFA CNA program are both taught by Mrs. Linda Romano, 2016 ACTE National Teacher of the year.
This video was put together by Ms.Jennifer Bonnett (Charlize Bultron's mother) and Mrs. Romano.
The Scholars in Scrubs program volunteer program has continued virtually, with many of the high school volunteers continuing to participate. The graduating seniors in the NFA CNA program will not be able to have a pinning ceremony this year, so Mrs. Romano felt this would be a nice way to recognize their continued dedication and contribute to the community.
