A letter from Principal Brunger
February 25, 2020
Dear Heritage Middle School Families,
I am writing to follow up on a letter that was posted to the Heritage Middle School section of the Newburgh Schools website on February 12, 2020. That letter shared information about an independent test of our water conducted by a parent in our community. In consultation with the Town of New Windsor and the Orange County Department of Health, it was determined that the water was safe to consume at that time, however, further testing continued. Results of the additional tests also came back stating that the water at Heritage Middle School is safe to consume.
The custodial team has a protocol to clean water fountains and refill stations multiple times a day. That protocol was reviewed with the Town of New Windsor Water Department and they deemed it to be thorough.
Thank you for your patience. The safety of our scholars is our highest priority.
Sincerely,
Lynnette Brunger, Principal
Heritage Middle School
