NFA Varsity Competitive Cheerleading Team Displays Sportsmanship at Sections
We typically get information about our athletes from their coaches or family members. This weekend, we received a message from an opposing team, that read: "Hello, I am the proud grandmother of a Cornwall High School Varsity Cheerleader. I just wanted to let you all know what a phenomenal group of Sweet young ladies you have on your cheer team!!
Today our team won 1st place at Sectionals and will be going to States. The NFA team was sitting right next to them as they made the announcement. Your team not only jumped up and clapped for us, Afterwards they all stood up and came to congratulate our team one by one and were giving hugs not only to the team but to all of us! It touched my heart to see such a wonderful display of maturity and kindness!
They are Truly a Lovely team and should absolutely be commended! I’m sending you a picture that clearly displays what I am referring to! NFA Cheer Team, We Love you and I’m looking forward to seeing you all again someday. Just know that You now have an adopted grandmother in me so feel free to call me Grandma ❤️ ❌⭕️❌⭕️❌⭕️"
Thank you, Ms. Rachel Zani for your kind words and picture. We are truly proud of our athletes!
In the last competition of the season, NFA Varsity Competitive Cheer took home 3rd Place at Sections. This season, NFA has placed in the top three teams in their division at every competition they attended. Congratulations on an incredible season, ladies!
For those interested in participating in cheerleading next year, please listen to your school announcements for an interest meeting in the late spring.
The NFA Varsity Competitive Cheerleading team is coached by Coach Chelsea Williams.
