Energy Conservation Improvements
You may be seeing or feeling a difference in our buildings! NECSD has been upgrading the energy efficiency in each of our buildings throughout the year! Upgrades have included an energy management system, LED lighting, solar panels on top of nine of our buildings, an automatic computer shut-off system, heating system upgrades, insulation replacement and installation, window films, and efforts to conserve water.
The Energy Performance Contract (EPC) is at no cost to our taxpayers and is estimated to reduce greenhouse gases and energy costs by 60%.
