Horizons-on the-Hudson Scholars Learn About Chinese New Year
Kindergarten and first-graders at Horizons we’re visited by the Chinese Restaurant, “Panda Express”. Students watched a video about Chinese New Year, answered trivia questions, and even won some prizes! Students learned about the importance of the color red and the animal of this year: the rat. After- each student got to indulge with Orange Chicken, Fried Rice and Lo Mein. The kids were so excited to learn about another culture.
One student explained it as “the best day ever!”.
