Balmville Hosts School Bus Driver Appreciation Breakfast
School Bus Driver Appreciation Week is February 10-14th, 2020
As part of their celebration, Balmville School hosted a Bus Driver Appreciation Breakfast this morning, February 10th.
Students made custom posters that highlight their appreciation for their bus drivers. Each driver was able to take some back with them.
Part of the breakfast also included a kickoff of the Balmville School “Safe Bus Behavior” campaign where drivers will report unsafe behavior daily to Balmville staff, and entire buses will be rewarded each month if they exhibit the safest behavior. Thank you to West Point Tours, Mid-State, and Gallagher busing companies for joining us for breakfast.
Drivers, staff, administrators and NECSD Director of Transportation, Patricia Coyne, are enthusiastic about the potential this protocol program has. It’s great to have a good working partnership between the district and bus companies for accurate feedback. #LoveTheBus
