Meadow Hill Hosts Valentine’s Day Luncheon for Senior Residents
On Saturday, February 8, Meadow Hill GEMS students and staff in collaboration with the Town of Newburgh Recreation Center held it’s 3rd annual Valentine’s luncheon for local senior citizen residents. Over 80 senior residents attended the special holiday event. Students and staff members served a festive lunch in an effort to support the school’s initiative to continue to give back to the community. A very special thank you must be extended to Jim Williams, who was the primary benefactor for this event. Mr. Williams has generously sponsored the Meadow Hill senior citizen charity events for the past several years. Special thanks must also go to Patricia Gida, Town of Newburgh Recreation Aide, for providing a musician, decorations and a helping hand. Finally, thank you to all the Meadow Hill Gems participants and community members that generously volunteered their time to engage in this community service event in an effort to continue to make a difference in the lives of others.
