NFA Black History Club Hosts Annual Potluck Gathering
The NFA Black History Club held it's annual Holiday Potluck Gathering. The annual potluck meeting is an affirmation of the rich heritage of one of the longest standing clubs at Newburgh Free Academy. The meeting is also an opportunity for the Club to thank members of the NECSD and Newburgh communities who support the club's mission and scholars. As is tradition, the gathering featured foods representing the myriad of cultures represented in the NFA Black History club and the African diaspora.
Joining the scholars in this celebration were guidance counselor Ms. Pamela Bonsu, assistant prinicpal Ms. Carolyne Monereau-St. Louis, guidance counselor Ms. Tara Jones, security supervisor Ms. Joyce Howard, social worker Ms. Ada Campbell, Ms. Khadijah Powell, Board of Education member Mr. Philip Howard, and Newburgh Teacher Retiree chapter representative Ms. Ida Jones.
Advisors for the NFA Black History Club are Ms. Tara Jones and Ms. Ada Campbell.
