NFA Black History Club Scholars Spread Holiday Cheer at Local Hospital
Newburgh Free Academy's Black History Club collaborated with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital on Christmas Eve to distribute toys and good cheer to the patients and staff.
Mrs. Kate Dabroski, VP of Marketing, Public and Community Relations and Mr. Anthony DiNoto, greeted the students with excitement! The students then visited the emergency room and various designated locations throughout the building. Caroling and interacting with staff and patients were the highlight of the day.
Special thanks to Mr. Robert Shust who dressed as Santa, Ms. Lakeya Stukes (NFA West) and Ms. Ada Campbell (NFA Main) were chaperones. Also, a special shout out goes to the students of NFA North for their large donation of toys.
Student volunteers from NFA Main: Eva Akoto, Ariyana Atkins, Dianka Casimir, Audson Clerge, Aaliyah Issac, Samantha Osu-Sarkodie, Woodskerly Paul, Jeremiah Simeon, La’Shjanae Walker
