Balmville & Fostertown ENL Students Visit SUNY New Paltz
Balmville & Fostertown ENL Teachers ( Mrs. Valle, Mrs. Nelson & Mrs. Ortiz) joined together this Fall to take their 3rd & 4th grade ENL students to SUNY New Paltz on a full College Tour.
Students spent a full day with New Paltz Administrative Assistant, Lenore Schulte and college tour guides who showed students SUNY New Paltz campus.
The group visited many of the popular places on campus which included the Student Union, Athletic Wellness Center, Science building, a 45 minute Planetarium experience, lunch in the Dining Hall surrounded by other college students, a trip to the Sojouner Truth Library, the Education building and Lecture Hall, and a quick stop at their Museum of Art Gallery.
This great experience shows students what they can do beyond Academy Field and what choices they have after graduation. SUNY New Paltz has welcomed our students for the last four years to provide an opportunity for our ELL students to envision the great opportunities they have ahead in their future.
