Heritage Middle School Hosts Annual Veterans Day Breakfast
Heritage Middle School welcomed veterans throughout the local community for a special breakfast in their honor. Relatives of students and teachers, as well as alumni were welcomed to the school to celebrate veterans. The middle school’s band, orchestra, and chorus gave performances. Members of the Heritage Middle School National Junior Honor Society read statements and history segments. The keynote speaker was Lieutenant Colonel Charles Sulewski, assistant math professor at the United States Military Academy West Point. Lt. Colonel Sulewski is the husband of Heritage Middle School teacher Mrs. Stacey Sulewski.
The sizeable breakfast spread was donated by Heritage Middle School faculty and staff.
In addition to the breakfast celebration, students made 250 cards and faculty staff donated 150 cookies. Bags of cookies were put together by students and cards and cookies will be delivered to Castle Point Hospital to Veterans by Mrs. Lapierre and Mrs. Martini.
