NFA Girls Varsity Soccer Team Wins Fall 2019 OCIAA Student Athlete Community Service Challenge
The NFA Girls Varsity Soccer Team was announced as the winner of the Fall 2019 OCIAA Student Athlete Community Service Challenge. The team participated in multiple volunteer initiatives throughout the challenge.
The team wore yellow shoelaces on September 12th to bring awareness to Pediatric Cancer. They also raised over $100 by purchasing the yellow laces. Later in the season, the team combined with Valley Central on a day to honor one of their students who was diagnosed with cancer.
Haley Dando, a senior on the team, raised over $700 for the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital.
Throughout their season, seniors on the team volunteered as coaches in the Town of Newburgh Recreation Dept. They coached a 4 and 5 year old team every Saturday morning.
Congraulations to these outstanding athletes! Their dedication and drive to go above and beyond is the epitome of our #GoldbackStandard!
The NFA Girls Varsity Soccer team is coached by Coach David Doulin and Assistant Coach Jen Grogan.
