Horizons-on-the-Hudson Students Enjoy The Energized Guyz

Horizons scholars enjoyed The Energized Guyz assembly on October 17th. A theatrical performance put on by The National Theatre for Children about energy conservation. 

Newburgh Enlarged City School District is in the process $28.6 million worth of district-wide energy efficient upgrades to be funded 100% out of guaranteed energy savings. Energy is being wasted everywhere you look, but Nikki Neutron and The Energized Guyz are here to help!

In this 25-minute interactive comedy, junior superhero Nikki Neutron is on a mission to stop energy from being wasted all over town. Along the way, Nikki and your students learn important lessons about resources and conservation—and even convince the crafty villain, the Sneaker, to join the cause.

Along with the in-school assembly, student playbooks, teacher guides, and digital games and activities are provided to expand upon the educational content of the program.
