GAMS Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Guest Readers
Gidney Avenue Memorial School (GAMS) celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month on Tuesday by hosting local community guests who read culturally relevant books to scholars. Guest readers included: Angie Latham, retired NECSD ENL teacher; Kevindaryán Luján - Orange County Legislator, Darlene DeJesus-Rosenwasser, Assistant District Attorney; Melissa Massari and Karin Toro from Youth Advocates; Carmen Vazqueztell and Barbara Martinez, Executive Director of the Goshen Chamber of Commerce. The day was produced by Jennifer Mojica and Honor Society students helped make the day a success.
