Literacy Connections of the Hudson Valley at HOH
During the 2015-2016 school year, Literacy Connections of the Hudson Valley partnered with Horizons on the Hudson IB World School to provide "Book Buddies" to first graders. "Kids love having adults from outside of school come in to read with them, it shows that reading is fun and worth taking time on!", says a first grade teacher. Sponsored by the United Way, the Book Buddies program through Literacy Connections of the Hudson Valley has made a huge impact on HOH students. On June 2nd, the students and volunteers celebrated the kids' success with books, snacks and crafts. HOH and Book Buddies are looking forward to next year being an even bigger success.
