Newburgh Free Academy Celebrates National College Decision Day!
Seniors from Newburgh Free Academy celebrated national college decision day on May 1st by wearing apparel from the college they will attend next year. Students also placed a digital "pin" on a map from the United States highlighting where their new school will be located. Students will be attending colleges near and far and will focus on a wide range of study areas. 86 students chose to attend the event.
Ada Johnston will be attending Ivy League school, Columbia University. Other notable schools of attendance include Julius Olitan will be attending Stanford and Sydney Reede will be attending Duke. Locally, students plan to attend Mount Saint Mary College, SUNY New Paltz, the Culinary Institute of America, SUNY Orange, and SUNY Dutchess. Students who chose to enlist in the military were also welcomed to share their decision. Parents and families were also invited to attend.
Congratulations to all of our graduates!
