A letter from GAMS Principals
February 27, 2019
Dear GAMS parents and families,
The safety and well-being of your child(ren) is our highest priority. I am writing this letter to inform you about an incident that occurred in our building this morning.
The fire alarm was activated in our building today, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at approximately 1:15pm due to steam that was released from a pipe in the basement. Students evacuated the building as they have practiced during previously scheduled fire drills. After the fire department arrived and cleared the building, students returned to the building after approximately 10 minutes.
At this time, the issue has be resolved by members of our facilities and operations department.
We are especially thankful for the quick thinking and fast response of our faculty and staff. Together, we all promote a safer and more secure environment for our scholars, faculty, staff, and NECSD community.
Through the work of all,
Jason Gerard, Principal Tara Marshall, Principal
