Security Guards Refresh Basic First-Aid Skills
Security guards across the district refreshed their basic first aid skills as part of their professional development. In the first aid class, guards are taught how to identity and help treat medical emergencies like fainting, seizures, low blood sugar, strokes, heart attacks, heat stroke, heat exhaustion, frostbite, someone in shock, and allergic reactions. They are also taught how to stop external bleeding, use a tourniquet and administer Epi-pens. The course is taught by Mr. Maldonado.
ATTENTION: Are your scholars or colleagues doing something great? Please contact the district Communications Team at communications@necsd.net. We’d love to visit your class or event and/or post your pictures and recap to highlight the amazing accomplishments throughout our district!
