IBM Visited with Meadow Hill Middle School Students to Work on the
On February 15th IBM visited with our middle school students to work on the "e-week challenge." Students, with the guidance from IBM, were to make robotic arms that could pick up objects and move them from two feet away. The students had to formulate ideas, determine the most cost effective product, make prototypes, test their designs and re-calibrate as needed. The students had 30 seconds to move the most number of items as possible once they were finished with their designs. Our MHS students were able to see first hand the type of work Engineers at IBM do and the many steps it takes to make a finished product.
