NFA Varsity Boy's Track Team Sets Records at Recent Meet
The Newburgh Free Academy Boys Track Team help set off the Holidays Cheers at The Jim Mitchell Invitational. The meet held on December 21, 2018 at the ew York Armory.
The team was led by Junior Ryler Gould who was a triple gold medalist.
As a team, we posted some national, state, school records, and section leading times. Here are our performances:
1st place 55m HH Ryler Gould 7.78(#1 in section 9)
1st place 300m dash Tyler Gould 35.01)(#9 in the nation)
1st place 4X200m relay (1:31.65)James Onwuka, Tyler Gould, Kendall Scott, Adam Jimenez (#11 in the nation)
We also had some strong performances from our sophomores who stepped up and completed in the varsity division:
4th place 300m dash James Onwuka 36.20(new school sophomore record)
10th place 1000m run 2:40.30(new school record).
21 place 100m run John Abrams 2:47.
10 place Shot Put James Tharpe 40' 3"
