Newburgh Armory Unity Center Presents Opportunities to NFA West Scholars

Mr. Robert Pagliaro from the Newburgh Armory Unity Center presented to scholars at Newburgh Free Academy’s West Campus. Mr. Pagliaro talked to scholars about volunteer and opportunities for learning that occur at the Armory every Saturday.  The Newburgh Armory offers dozens of programs to younger scholars and relies on older scholars and volunteers to run our programs. Mr. Pagliaro emphasized the value of volunteering, regardless of consistency or regularity for our scholars. Mr. Pagliaro discussed skills that student volunteers can develop each Saturday that can be highlighted on resumes for future employment or college applications.

The Newburgh Enlarged City School District continues to work with the Newburgh Armory Unity Center to provide support for the programs that help to enrich the academic and social development of our scholars.

Each week,  Newburgh Free Academy's West Campus hosts presenters from the community to speak to scholars about a series of topics, primarily focusing on community and career.
