A Look Back at the College and Career Fair
On Wednesday, November 2, 2016, the Newburgh Free Academy Department of Counseling and Guidance hosted the Fall College Planning Night and the College & Career Fair at Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus.
Representatives from over 150 public, private, trade and technical institutions were on hand to speak about the admissions process in the NFA Main Campus Auditorium. The representatives also an-swered questions regarding admissions, scholarships, financial aid, and programs of study. A bilingual presentation was also offered for attendees and their families.
Following the Planning Night, representatives were available in the NFA Boys’ Gym, Cafeteria A and Cafeteria C to answer more questions. Take home applications for admission and scholarship in-formation with representatives offered students an opportunity to meet one-on-one with potential schools.
In addition, NFA Career and Technical Education students in the Culinary Arts pathway developed and catered a dinner for admissions counselors prior to the event. In total, over 800 attendees came to the annual event.
