IB Primary Years Programme

Horizons on the Hudson School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. Horizons on the Hudson is a participating IB Primary Years Programme school (PYP) designed for students aged 3 to 12. The philosophy of the PYP is to mold students into being inquirers, thinkers, communicators, risk-takers, knowledgeable, principled, caring, open-minded, well-balanced, and reflective citizens of the world. Our PYP Program is an inquiry based program developed for ALL of our students. We strive continuously to engage our students in learning experiences that increase international awareness and promote the development of responsible citizens. As part of the program students are required to learn a second language during the program, for our school the second language is Spanish.
