Ms. Treus’s ENL students at NFA Main Campus attended a field trip to the Statue of Liberty. After studying their unit on the statue and Ellis island, students were able to see the statue and Ellis island in person.

To receive Scholar-Athlete team recognition with a certificate, the team’s average GPA for 75% of the roster must be greater than or equal to 90.00. If an individual earns a 90 or above GPA they will be considered an Individual Scholar-Athlete.

For the past thirty-four years, in honor of Sojourner Truth, Orange County Community College has celebrated its youth by awarding them for their achievements.

The 4th grade had an assembly where they learned all about Down Syndrome's genetics, physical features, person-first preferred language, and most importantly, ways to include people with disabilities.

The highlight of our celebration was a daring question to read 2024 books in the month of March. Our students and staff rose to the occasion magnificently, surpassing the goal with a staggering total of 2598 books read!

Newburgh Free Academy is hosting a Poetry Slam on April 25th from 5pm - 8pm at Barnes & Noble in Newburgh. Students who want to read an original poem should sign up with their school librarian.

More than 200 students from various schools across the district united their voices and musical talents to present a collaborative performance featuring songs from a combined chorus, band, and orchestra.

The evening showcased a collaborative effort from our entire staff. Upon arrival, students engaged in a scavenger hunt, exploring different literacy stations throughout the event.
